Hello, I'm Sandy Loyall, a professional counsellor, part-time writer and educator of primary school children in the field of Ethics. I've graduated with a Counselling degree from the Australian College of Applied Psychology and a Secondary Education degree from the University of Melbourne.
Equally as important, I’m a favourite Auntie to Dominic, James and Elf and a lover of propagating plants, podcasts, pizza and primarily... my hubby Pete!
About eight years ago I stumbled upon the new "Inside-Out" psychological understanding which changed everything for me. My life became effortless, more joyful, more "in the flow". It's now the basis of everything I teach and write about, as well as the foundation of how I help clients "see" where their conflict and unhappiness is coming from. By tweaking their perspective, they change their experience.
My passion for psychology and minimising human suffering began 25 years ago when my first husband and I were trying desperately to have a baby until finally, the wheels of our marriage fell off. We'd had a single counselling session together and it was a disaster! From that moment on, I started exploring the deeper meaning of life in an effort to understand the "big picture" about how humans work.
Finally, after 16 years volunteering on the phones for Lifeline and three years working in a paid position as their Mentor and Support Officer in Lismore NSW, I opened my own practice here in Bangalow back in 2015.
Without a doubt, I consider working with my clients to be an absolute honour and privilege... ♥️
